Kum & Go announces plan to sell Eldora, IA location
Des Moines, Iowa — Family-owned convenience retail chain Kum & Go announced they have entered into an agreement with Casey’s to sell their location at 2359 Edgington Avenue in Eldora, IA.
Kum & Go recognizes the significance Eldora holds in its history. The store is recognized as its ‘Founder’s Store’ and Eldora was the birthplace and hometown of founder William A. Krause. It was always important to W.A. Krause to give back to his communities and that tradition has continued throughout Kum & Go’s 60+ years of operations by giving 10% of profits back to the communities they serve each year.
While exiting the community, Kum & Go’s presence will still be felt. The company is working with the high school on a renovation project that will benefit the community for years to come.
“Eldora is a significant place in our company’s history and to my grandfather, where he was born, raised, and graduated high school. It has been an honor to connect with and serve the Eldora community all these years,” says Tanner Krause, Chief Executive Officer at Kum & Go.
